Sharing the beauty of nature and much deliciousness along the Portugese Way (Senda Litoral) and through the middle of the Podiensis / GR65 / Chemin de St Jâcques

Porto and preparation

A good day yesterday in 30 degrees doing laundry, buying walking poles and a hat (just wait, I’m going to look very cool in my floppy black number…), picking up my credential from the cathedral (first stamp, exciting) and I also managed to squeeze in a food tour for the afternoon. Yes, I was asleep by 730pm.

Today I drop off a small bag at the hotel we are coming back to after Santiago de Compostela, and I walk. Just a warm up today out to Matosinhos, a couple of hours of leisurely strolling with my trusty pack. Managed to strip a bit more out of it this morning, so hopefully it won’t take long to get used to the weight.

I will be saying this a lot.

Lovely sights this morning in Porto

I refrained from patting the lovely horses.
These flowers smell incredible, not sure what the tree is…
