Beauty in Baden-Baden
It was lovely seeing Baden-Baden in the summer. Beautiful, restorative place, and felt very peaceful for a busy town. I’ve grown very accustomed to the quiet of country lanes and tiny villages these last five weeks, it seems. Anyway, here are some beautiful things I saw (and ate!). Heading home in two days, so that’s it from me. Thanks for following along.
The same green trees below, Christmas 2019. Spooky beauty. Lovely to be here in summer. Same trees as above! Just hanging out in the thermal waters with friends, as you do. I feel seen 🤣Kaiserallee now. The art is stunning. Bet it’s seen some things. Kaiserallee then. 1831.Bitter chocolate and 🥨. Winning combo. 💕😍❤️Fish rolls, spinach and potatoes. Yum. I would not mess with him. The sculptures and water features here are stunning. Souvenirs. Worth the weight. Outside Caracalla SpaInside Caracalla spa. Not me, lol.Filling my Simon’s cat h20 bottle with ancient thermal water 🙄Just when I thought there couldn’t be any more beautiful sculptures… The original Friedrichsbad spa, with its “unforgettable bathing experience” Truffle 🍕. First and last truffle and pizza of the trip. Def worth it and amazing for breakfast cold. A+++View from outside Caracalla spa. Legs very happy after beautiful massage.
